Being that this is my first post, I felt like I should let everyone in on things that I'm currently loving. Look for these posts to pop up monthly!
10.) Kiehl's Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment: This eye cream is super moisturizing and super nourishing!! It goes on smoothly and blends in with just a few pats of the ring finger. I like to put this under my eyes and under my brow on my orbital bone. The green color is also cute for a green lover, like me!
9.) Sara Happ The Lip Scrub in Vanilla Bean: The tag line sums this product up pretty well, "Wonder how you ever lived without it". This lip scrub smells delicious, looks delicious, and is deliciously amazing for your lips. Just a little bit on your pinkie finger and a few circular motions around your lips is all it takes to get a beautiful and smooth pout! This product is an essential part of my beauty routine that I love to follow up with my thing I'm currently loving #8.
8.) Jack Black Intense Lip Therapy in Natural Mint: When my friend Billy first mentioned this line to me I thought, ummmm...ok since when did Jack Black (the actor) get into the beauty field. Boy, am I glad my first instinct was followed up by a second look. Jack Black lip balm is in a word fantastic. It is the best lip balm I've ever used (and there's been a lot)! It has an SPF of 25 and I feel the need to have 25 of them around me at all times, ok so that's a little bit of an exaggeration, the true number is about 3: night table drawer, car, and purse! Once you use this lip balm you'll find it hard to ever use another. My favorite flavor is the natural mint but the black tea and blackberry is pretty yummy too!
7.) Bed Head Superstar Volume Leave In Conditioner: I'm always looking for something to give my hair more volume! I'm a headband loyalist who needs a little volume with my band. This leave in conditioner gives me a nice amount of volume while keeping my hair soft. It has a distinct smell to it of strawberries that stays with my hair instead of fading!
6.) NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Fiji: In my mind Francois Nars can do no wrong but as many people know with the Sheer Glow Foundation he did nothing but right. The lightness and ease with which this foundation applies is wonderful. It leaves the skin with a slightly dewy finish but doesn't leave it oily. It's unscented which is a major plus for my sensitive skin (and nose). I love to apply this with my fingers like the people at NARS recommend, but I've also used a buffing brush which works just as well. If I had one gripe, it would be that there's no pump, however NARS does sell one on their website for people who need one. Speaking of NARS, their Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer that hits Nordstrom on February 1st is my most anticipated product launch of the year!!
5.) The NY Giants: The Giants are one win away from the Superbowl, facing either the Baltimore Ravens (2001 rematch) or the New England Patriots (2007 rematch)! Watching the Giants is always a great time for my family and I. Great food, and great company = an overall great time (only if they win)! Go Big Blue!
4.) Friends Reruns on Nick at Nite: Nick at Nite plays a 2 hour block of Friends every night from 11 PM til 1 AM, and I can usually catch the first 3 before I've faded into dreamland! Right now they're showing the season after Monica and Chandler get engaged, I loved them together so it's awesome to watch again!
3.) Slatkin and Co Apple Crumble Candle: 3 words for current love number 3...Best.Candle.EVER!
2.) Boot Weather: Boots are my favorite accessories, favorite footware, just my favorites. But living in South Floria doesn't lend itself to many boot wearing days, which is why I have a rule: From October 1st - March 1st I will wear my boots at 75 degrees and below. Although that's not at all considered cold, and although that still doesnt give me many days (hate you, Florida) I wear my boots. Admittedly, I have more pairs than a person in my part of the world needs! Also admittedly, there will be more pairs added ;)
1.) Revlon Lip Butters: As anyone who's anyone that knows anything about the beauty community can tell you, these little lovelies have been all the rage...but they are well deserved said rage! They're the perfect mix between a balm, lipstick, and lipgloss! With 20 shades everybody can find 1 (or 12) that they can't live without!! My 2 favorites right now are Creme Brûlée and Berry Smoothie but I also love Sugar Plum. These are now part of Revlon's permanent range of products, so they are or will shortly be readily available to everybody. Although I have to be honest, I quite miss the rush of running around to different drugstores looking for them or being surprised when I found one in a surprise location! An added coolness factor these have is that Emma Stone actually wore the lip butter in Peach Parfait to the Golden Globes, so they're very versatile...good enough for the Globes and good enough to run to the store, my kind of product!
So this blogging thing isnt as scary as I thought :)
Xo,
Jessica
